The month of July has come and gone without even being noticed as a month dedicated to men. In June there was so much talk about youth month and as sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west there is going to be so much vibe by women in August. In some cases men will even be leading the way.

It is astonishing why men do not take themselves seriously when it comes to some issues.

My attention will be directed to men in my home, the United Christian Democratic Party. Women and youth do all in their might to identify themselves. They have activities they concentrate on and like all their peers celebrate national days set aside for them.

Men, women and youth have common membership of in the party but women and the youth have an added advantage as they have platforms from which to deliberate on matters of common concern.

This could certainly account for the empirical research conducted by the Human Sciences Research Council to the effect that the UCDP is being voted mainly by women.

Where are the men? What are they doing for the party?

The youth have regrouped and show such determination as never seen before in their quest to revive the party. Their spirits are so high as they brace themselves for their elective congress.
